The surveillance of gravel and sandpits poses a particular challenge. Fencing off the often extensive area would be very cost-intensive and does not pose an insurmountable obstacle for intruders. For this reason, gravel pits are repeatedly affected by theft. The culprits target everything from which they can earn money on the black market: from power cables and fuels through to vehicles and entire containers. It is often very easy for them because of insufficient site security and isolated locations. Since sand and gravel pits are often not even secured by a fence, organised gangs are easily able to gain access and can drive onto the site undisturbed under cover of night. For operators, these cases result in an enormous amount of damage.
However, with the right surveillance, break-ins and thefts can be reliably prevented. Mobile video surveillance systems offer round-the-clock protection, even for extensive and complex areas. Thanks to its weather-resistant construction, the mobile video surveillance systems from LivEye® can be used flexibly and are ideally equipped for outdoor use. LivEye® PRO 2.0 also provides the option of a self-sufficient energy supply, so that the systems can be positioned flexibly and independent of the main power supply. This is a notable advantage when securing remote sites. If the power supply is interrupted, systems can be supplied with energy from battery storage. This guarantees uninterrupted video recording.
An orange lighting acts as a deterrent and has a preventive effect at night, whilst movements are reliably detected by the intelligent analysis software. It has no trouble in distinguishing between people, animals, vehicles and recurring movements. False alarms are, therefore, reduced to a minimum. Our continuously staffed Video Monitoring & Alarm Centre is immediately alerted in suspicious cases. The operator on duty reacts immediately and takes appropriate measures. The people identified are first spoken to and asked to leave the premises via the integrated loud-speaker system. If they ignore this demand, we inform the police or site security.
